biography

Andrew Cusworth began his study of music at the age of seven, and, by the age of 18, had established a considerable reputation in his area: he had been awarded an organ scholarship at St. Mary's Church in Tenby, won a number of competitions at both piano and 'cello, founded a chamber choir and orchestra, and won an organ scholarship to Magdalene College, Cambridge for the academic years 2003 - 2006.

In his time at Cambridge, he was privileged to work with both eminent tutors and exceptional students. He gave numerous recitals, regularly conducted the college Chapel Choir, and conducted a number of other groups.

As conductor and organist, he has performed in a wide range of significant venues around Europe, including: St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, St. David's Cathedral, Uppsala Cathedral in Sweden, and the Frauenkirche in Marburg, Germany.

Andrew is currently living and working in Pembrokeshire, where he composes music, teaches privately, runs the inTune Youth Choir, accompanies the Griffon Choir, and has returned to St. Mary's Church as Assistant Director of Music.
